How We Started

• Gallaghers is a family owned, hand-made Irish jewellery brand established in 2023 and cared for by siblings Matthew and Olivia Thornton, who run the Gallaghers brand from Co. Wicklow. After discovering a small bag of old Irish coins that were collected by our Grandfather over the course of three decades, and subsequently inheriting them, we wanted to create something special from it. 

Bridging The Gap

• We bridge the gap between characteristics of jewellery that, until now can't be found together. Traditional Irish brands possess craftsmanship and heritage, contemporary brands are accessible and affordable, while high-end luxury brands exude class and timelessness. Gallaghers excels in combining the best qualities of each to create pieces that are authentic, elegant and versatile. 

Process

• Our silver and gold pendants are made from scratch in our garden shed with our Grandfather's old machinery. Each pendant is upcycled from old coins, made to order and carefully placed in our signature evergreen and gold stamped box. Our designs predate us, but we've combined these relics that once passed through the purses and pockets of saints and sinners with the simple beauty and allure that silver and gold chains provide.
