Irish Hare Coin Pendant - Coming soon
Even while lying in a deep sleep, her heart hums away at over two-hundred beats per minute. Ready to fly at any moment to play, to chase, or to dash to freedom.
Up close, the Irish Hare is a marvel of cushy velvet. And from a distance, she’s a flicker in the grass, or a streak through the heather. Her ears taper long and clean, rimmed with black, and flickering at the faintest sound. The only native hare species of Ireland, her ancestors gifted her with a rare and rapid flatland finesse.
Finesse
Finesse is as much about staying still as it is about dodging at high speed. Above her, birdsong attempts to lure her out of the thickets. A fox might pass. A kestrel might hover. And though the hare is quicker than both, she sometimes lays low, politely declining the chase.
If you were to hold her (though you likely never would) she would be warm, thrumming, impossibly light, and gone before your second breath.
Solitude
When she isn't dashing around, instinct guides her to carve out spaces we could only dream of experiencing at her level. Her home is damp with ground dew in the morning and golden with heat by midday light.
She keeps her young in shallow nests called forms, tucked under the tall, wrapping grass. The sunshine splits itself into rays that seep through the natural windows. Before leaving for errands, she tastes the air with her button-like nose, experiencing a warm wind, spiked with the sweetness of clover or blooming furze.
Gifting the Irish Hare’s Finesse
Much like the Irish Hare slipping through heather, a finesser adapts and responds without ever really announcing it.
Our Irish Hare Coin Pendant is for those who can tap into boundless energy, but otherwise tread lightly and live comfortably. More, they possess that rare sense of timing, sometimes letting silence do the work.
